Are your reservations made for our convention? I understand that in today’s economy it is tough to think about spending money if your business is off. But think about this, every now and again we need to get away from our hard work and take some time to spend with our associates and relax. We have a schedule this year that has been put together to send you home with some knowledge that we hope will help you to continue to run a good strong business in a down market. As I stated earlier this year, bail is down nationwide. We don’t know or have the answers, but we know from history that we need to stay strong and work hard and we will survive. All of us can be thankful that we are in this business. What if we owned a manufacturing company and saw all of our business being sent to China, now there is a problem that may never turn around.

I have enclosed a copy of our tentative agenda. As you will note we have invited Brian Shipwash back to speak about the new Florida law which may work to expose the poor job pretrial is doing by making it mandatory to provide their statistics to the public. Could this same legislation work for you? If you are not impacted by a pretrial release program, thank your lucky stars, but being prepared to know how to combat them once they target your area is essential. Don’t miss this important day. The second day we are bringing in people to provide information on how to survive in a down market. We need to strive to continue to underwrite our bonds using the modern technology that is available to make smart decisions. Bail USA is spending money to ensure that you have the proper documents to secure your bonds. Attorney Tracy Reinhart will share what she has been working on for you. This year’s convention is all about you. We have picked one of the most beautiful hotels in San Antonio. We are buying down your rate to make this hotel affordable to all of you. Our dinner Sunday evening will be one to remember. On Tuesday evening we will be presenting awards to you as a token of our appreciation for all your hard work.

In the afternoon we will begin our series on National Liability Apprehension Technique Training. We have invited back Ysidro Sandoval (aka Rex Venter) and his partner Robert Dick. These two gentlemen are certified by the state of California to instruct people how to safely and liability free pick up your skips. They will speak to you on Tuesday morning about what to look for before hiring a fugitive recovery person. This is the one area that is essential for you to listen to. Thanks to several popular television shows everyone wants to become a bounty hunter, but what are their credentials? You want to ensure that the people you hire are properly trained so that you are not hit with a lawsuit because of their misdeeds, those suits could put you out of business.
