Welcome to Bail USA. I am Cheryl Burns and I am the President and CEO.
If you are looking for a surety company please take a moment to read this and view our website.
Let me begin by telling you a little bit about our company.
Bail USA was formed in 1982 by Harvey Childs, Alan Childs and myself. Harvey is a third generation bail bondsman, Alan holds his Doctorate in Psychology and I am a licensed bail agent. When you are looking for a company to underwrite your bail why not look at a company that is owned and operated by licensed bail agents. We understand your problems.
A frequently asked question that we receive from prospective bail agents is “what can you do for me?”
At Bail USA we are investing in our bail agents and here is how. We believe that bail agents need to be taught to be politically active and understand grass root politics. Recently we have hired lobbyist in three separate states to help our bail agents. We are putting together political action committees with the involvement of our bail agents. We help our bail agents through marketing, compliance training, education and 24 hour service 7 days a week.
In the last year we have seen states conduct Market Conduct Reports. Some say these are being conducted to create a revenue stream, others say they are being conducted to create a scenario that would lend itself to put the surety bail agent out of business and replace it with a pretrial release system.
Gordon Coombes and Canvasback Enterprises have recently joined our team. They have created an online course for continuing education and compliance training for states. We as an industry must be proactive and work hard to train our bail agents to follow the laws. When change is necessary we will work with our bail agents to create good legislation that will ensure the bail industry remains intact for the next generation.
